600 dollars was Sony's RROD here in America. Brand loyalty is much stronger outside of the US. That's for sure.
The price advantage isn't gonna be there this time.

To anyone other than Sony fanboys. RROD or more importantly the way Microsoft handled the problem only increased brand loyalty. I've purchased plenty of electronics that broke sooner than they should of. The Xbox 360 was the only one I got fixed for free.
If microsft gears its strategy torward Europe, I think they can make some good strides torward world dominance. Keep in mind that the 360 was pretty much the first gen for Xbox outside of the U.S. the market share it was able to gain was very impressive. With some Europe specific games/features Xbox could make a big splash in that territory.
MS didn't even acknowledge the shyt at first. They didn't start fixing for free until they were about to get hit with that class action lawsuit. Peter Moore's head rolled for RROD at MS because of RROD. From launch to early 2007 MS was on that nothing to see here, so don't give them a pass for that shyt.

I did get my first one replaced on my ps2 since I had a warranty.
I had a warranty on my PS3 and ended up having to use it when those TSA clowns fukked up my bag when I had to check my shyt planeside. They ran out of binspace on the flight so I had to check my bag.
Get to my hotel and my shyt had a crack on the side and didn't boot.
Only took a 5 days total to send my shyt and get it back though.
