I don't think it would make sense to reveal the console now and let Sony get all the press when they reveal the PS4 at E3. They will both reveal the consoles during E3.

They have to show the console for it to be worth it IMO.

But it honestly sounds like it will be "similar" to what Sony did. Again, not bad, but you expect more from MS 3 months after what Sony did. They have so many bad rumors to officially dispel.
