What I was saying is that people who aren't good at reversing make the mistake of just hitting reversal over and over and weren't able to pull it off. From what I've gathered in my playing the game previous years is that only the first reversal attempt was registered and after that you could hit a move. So since I knew people would hit the reverse button the second it looks like they can get hit, I would pause and wait a second or two and was still able to hit my moves without being reversed. It was all a timing thing. If people learned to switch up the timing of their attacks they wouldn't get reversed as much.
This is common sense but it doesnt make the match feel authentic whatsoever and creates robotic gameplay.
