I'm liking it so far, but dude doesn't act, talk or even look like RZA in any way whatsoever. Dude sounds like he's voicing DMX or something. Plus RZA was more charismatic. This dude walks around looking so unsure of himself like he doesn't know where he fits in in the world or something. Watch early footage of RZA from 1991-1993 and I see and hear nothing I recognise in him. I would have taken it more seriously if RZA himself did a voiceover like Snoop in that horrible Tupac movie. He would have been better off playing Inspectah Deck or something. Dave East is also miscast as Method Man IMO.

The other dudes are doing a great job. I remember in RZA's book when he said ODB did actually grab a shotgun out of some dude's hands once lol, but I think it was some different circumstances.

I’m also wondering the timeline on all this shyt and how accurate it is. Did they really have all those solo tracks recorded before the groups first album dropped. Hell one of them had either Rae or Ghost rapping about the first album dropping and going gold.

One thing with the timeline is everything is truncated. Moreso in SSN 1, but many of the things that happened all through the years before they were on were condensed & combined into the year plus shown so far.

On the songs, maybe not fully finally recorded but many of their verses and beats were ready for years in those days. The depiction on the show is very accurate in that the MCs would be writing verses any and everywhere and have rhymes on deck for any cypha/recordng session/stray beat they'd come across. And RZA would be churning out beats and saving them w/ MCs in mind and said his pace in those days was making around 5 beats a day.



Like on a freestyle session like this from 94, you'll hear verses from Forever (97), Tical (94), Rainy Dayz remix (96), Liquid Swords (95) etc... But they'd have plenty recorded already too like in this session & on Tical you have Meth mention how "Killah Hills 10304 by the GZA got me wiiiiide" and that doesn't drop until end of 95.
