I won’t even lie...depending on how “safe” things are with theaters by Christmas, I might just watch this in an actual cinema opening weekend.
I would prefer a theater blockbuster experience for this but I doubt the audience in theater will be robust enough to capture the feeling. Sad, but looking forward to this being on HBOMAX.

They could have done Christmas 2019 or January 2020. Marvel had the run last year of dropping three movies in a 4 month span.
December could’ve worked but they probably wanted to avoid Star Wars. I would’ve dropped it on Christmas but Disney & Warner kind of have an unwritten law to not drop blockbusters on the same day/week to hurt their bottom line.
