They finished the movie (effects and all) over a year ago. The only reason they delayed it to 2020 is because they wanted a Summer Release instead.

I won’t even lie...depending on how “safe” things are with theaters by Christmas, I might just watch this in an actual cinema opening weekend.

I would prefer a theater blockbuster experience for this but I doubt the audience in theater will be robust enough to capture the feeling. Sad, but looking forward to this being on HBOMAX.

December could’ve worked but they probably wanted to avoid Star Wars. I would’ve dropped it on Christmas but Disney & Warner kind of have an unwritten law to not drop blockbusters on the same day/week to hurt their bottom line.

didnt plan on seeing this in theaters no matter if covid was out there in them streets or not. So this works for me
