If we gave up anything of value I would agree, but we outright signed her for a year. We have a ton a cap space and need all the capable passers we can get for Angel and Kamilla. I'll take her over Dana or Lindsey. Still need to draft a PG and shooters for the long term
Annie C gotta do a better job of disguising when she's being a mouthpiece for an agent, floating the story out there that the Sky would need to trade their pick to bring in another veteran to entice washed and rinsed Vandersloot is wild.

Thing is I'm not sure if she's being the mouthpiece for an agent or she truly just has negative agendas she likes to push against the Sky. I know she has legit sources but her bias against the team constantly seeps through her reporting She's a self admitted Caitlin Clark stan who also admitted she's not a fan of the team she covers. She continuously paints the team as this hopeless undesirable destination with nothing going for itself and it'd take a miracle for anybody decent to want to join them. Did it during the coaching search and now she's doing it during free agency as well. She went extremely hard with the "Sky needs to trade their 3rd pick" narrative and said the idea of building through the draft is foolish, even though the "world class" Fever literally built through the draft themselves. Like how are u a beat writer giving shytty opinion pieces exposing you don't know shyt about basketball? Just stick to reporting scoops.

I dont mind the Sloot move since no assets were given up to get her but I dont expect her to come in and make a huge difference. She'll at the very least be better than Dana and Lindsay but she's still an aging declining vet on the tail end of her career who got benched in the finals for a rookie because she was a liability. Clearly she felt a way which is why she left the Liberty despite winning a ring because she wants to start somewhere, which worries me because if Olivia Miles is available at 3 they better not pass up on her or draft her just to have her ride the bench to appease the ego of a 40 year old.
to be fair this is how old school beat reporting for a team is supposed to work, media working for non-fan sites/blogs aren't supposed to be fans of the team they're covering and be neutral. but if she has baked in biases against them then yea, that could affect the coverage and lead to those bizarre tweets she was making.

its one thing to be neutral but she comes off like a legit hater and then she argues up and down her timeline her ideas of what moves the sky should make and it's the most self sabotaging franchise crippling shyt u could think of
