Aces picked up a 36% from the field slasher and lost a shooter that saved them at times. Gained a little back on defense though.

Sparks lost their pick like some dummies but will have chemistry between Dearica and Kelsey. Nice lineup with Plum, insert 2 guard (?), Rickea, Dearica, Azura (Cam when she gets healthy)

Seattle gets Li Yeuru and the number two pick. Probably resign Nneka and draft Olivia Miles and pair her with Skyler

Miles would get the rest of the team easier buckets imho.

If her 3 keeps improving/it transfers to the W, she's more valuable than KP

They need a big in the paint to help Aja, but if plum wanted to leave so badly, Aces basically had to make a literal move. Jewell a better defender even though she had a bad showing last year in the playoffs, which you might can say was due to her being banged up. Sparks made a move get another scorer/playmaker to help Rickea Development.

Aces about to run back Kiah Stokes :mjlol:

I mean I guess they’re in a full retool mode instead of rebuild so they wanted a current name over a potential star and rookie that they’ll have to develop. Miles would be on the same timeline with Cam and Rickea if they played it right and rebuilt through the draft

Miles might struggle for a while despite being good now. She’s not even the closer for her team as it is. On top of that she’s a guard so it might take a while to get acclimated

Unless Paige ends up in Seattle, the Aces clearly won this trade.....Plum is a nice 2nd/3rd option but she isn't leading any team to a deep playoff run...Even if Seattle gets Miles who I am high on...Having to deal with an aging SDS could be an issue......As for the Aces....Loyd goes back to being the 2nd or even 3rd option....She's going to get more quality/open shots.....Imagine that big offensive 4......(Aja/Yound/Loyd)...with Gray running the offense?

I don't get why KP wanted out. When we got rid of Hamby everybody knew an hour later why. If something went down again kinda feels like you'd know. Top player on the team wanting out and nobody's said a word why. Can't buy she just wanted to be the face of her own team, she won't be that in year or two when Cameron gets caught up. But if you gotta replace her, you can do a lot worse than Jewel, who wouldn't even be available normally. KP might have higher highs but she definitely has lower lows. When you're getting nothing out of Kelsey, it's really nothing. Jewel might be an upgrade off consistency. Possibly be an upgrade overall next to Aja, we'll have to see. A free pick and a player not too far off is a win, but nobody's lost more talent over the last couple of years. Cambage, Hamby, Kelsey

Trade doesn't make sense for LA unless the goal is just eyeballs. Traded #2 for a undersized & streaky player and asking her to be the top scorer, on top of coming up on thirty and not fitting the timeline. "We don't know who will be available lol"....well shyt somebody will be lmao. Pick em and move on. That knee on Brink is getting tested because Kelsey's a cone and too small even in position. A poor defensive team that'll struggle to keep up in scoring and will be bad, but not bad enough to get another high pick

Still no details about the discrimination, why does Jewel want out after signing an extension? Again, the best player on the team and nobody's talking. She was just on that team where the other two best players were gay, one of them their best player of all time. So what's left, race?

Weird trades caused by weird circumstances. If there's a loser it's gotta be the Sparks

PLUS LA HELPS PUSH HER STAR
OUTSIDE OF BALL.

SHE HAS HER RINGS ALREADY
AND HER MAX DEAL.

LLOYD SAYS SHE WAS GETTING
BULLIED BY COACHES AND PLAYERS
(OBVIOUSLY DIGGINS)

This ain't Shaq in the 90s lmao, location matters very little in 2025. AD's in LA and nobody gives a fukk :mjlol:

Franchise matters more. It means more to be a "Laker" than it does to play ball in LA otherwise people would care about the Clippers. Vegas is a top tourist destination and stones throw away from LA, this isn't OKC we're talking about. Not buying it but if that's what she's thinking then cool. I can see wanting a fresh start after the last year off the court, I buy that more

Diggins involved is something, she's been an issue everywhere she's been. But I can't see the whole team/coaches siding with a stop gap on top of just a worse & older player. Might not be too far off though it's obviously something

LLOYD WAS ABSOLUTELY TRASH LAST YEAR.

PPL CALLING OUT HER GAME
AND SHOT SELECTION IS WHAT
SHE CONSIDERS BULLYING.

WHY WOULD THE COACHES
AND PLAYERS SIDE WITH LLOYD ON THAT?

Yeah...seems like there's a lot of stuff assumed taken as fact. Idk about Seattle last year but she's not going to LV and eating whatever and I don't remember her being a problem when she was 3rd on the chart in Seattle either. Guess we'll find out
