North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
It has nothing to do with purely basketball but the league obviously wants attention and higher salaries. Clarks game right now is very limited, but she's good at the most efficient shots in basketball (threes/layups/fts).

She is no where near as good as her hype but as limited as she is, she is still posting a 55% true shooting percentage on the year. Ionescu, and Plum for reference struggled early on as well with efficiency as do most guards.

Paige Bueckers may be a better pro, but no body cares about her like that. She won't fill arenas and I know you don't care about that but it's important in order for the league big time.

Clark is out here drawing more than the wnba finals and some nba crowds :skip:

Did you watch the crowd tonight? It was mostly lifeless. You could tell most of the people came to see Clark, but weren’t basketball fans. And they definitely weren’t fans of the Sun, currently the best team in the league.

And she’s NOT an efficient shooter. The reason why she was so great in college is because she was a volume shooter. Steph Current never shot below 40% in college, and only did it one time in an injury shortened season. Clark’s 3 point shooting percentage dropped last year but she attempted…… over 13 per game.

She routinely had 13-29 games and 8-20 from 3 games. That shyt won’t fly in the WNBA. No coach or teammate will allow it.

And she doesn’t play defense. She can’t go to her left, she doesn’t have great handles. She isn’t that fast or quick. But people expect her to make some magical transformation this late in the game?

Really?

This isn’t some straight from high school or one and done player.

Right now, the media is promoting and fans/eyeballs are promoting and paying for LOSING. How long do you think people are going to buy it? :mjlol:

Indiana had zero spotlight last year. When you played them, it was just another wnba game in an empty arena with no fan/media fare. That team was able to sneak up on you.

Now when you face Indiana, you're playing in front of huge crowds and on national TV. Teams are obviously bringing there A game for the chance to show case what they can do and make a name for themselves. The record comparison is pointless when you consider those factors.
That’s an excuse man. Hoopers aren’t thinking about people in the crowd. They’re not missing more shots because of “eyes.”

She was very efficient in college. You can't look at raw fg% cause she obviously takes a very high volume of threes, and threes are worth more than twos. 33% from 3 is the equivalent of shooting 50% from two.

She's not Steph level, but 13.6 3pt attempts at 38% is GREAT. She shot 45.5% from the field/86% from the line and had a True shooting percentage of 61%. That is all while leading the number 1 offense in college basketball the last two years.

Even in the wnba , she's only shooting 37% from the field as a raw percentage. However, because she takes a high amount of threes and is a good ft shooter, her true shooting percentage is still 55%, which is above average for a guard in the wnba. She clearly has things to work on though, like dribbling and a mid-range game but the blue print is there for her to be a great offensive player.

You don't think teams are more pumped to play Indy this year in packed arenas/on national tv and a way bigger spotlight than last year? :francis:

No one was even watching them last year, but fine since that can't be proven we can only look at the results.

Last year, Indiana went 0-8 against the Liberty and Sun. This year they already have 6 of their 10 losses against them and have to play both of them only 1 more time. They are 3-4 against all of the other teams in the league. We'll see how they do against these other matchups in the coming weeks.

whats get me is some of yall still think boston looks the same? Ive heard from fans other teams say she has clearly regressed. EVen the bright spot some think she had today wasnt great. I didnt feel bostons impact like some were hyping her up. Something in her is gone. I think its partly mental but so much hesitation

So basically, this tweet is saying that the Las Vegas Aces attendance is up because of a player who hasn’t played in Vegas.

And all the other teams Indiana hasn’t played are going to games because of her :mjlol: ok.
I hate having to explain to stupid mfers that the Aces selling out 19 of 20 home games has nothing to do with Clark. The Fever only play there twice. Why the FUK would a CC fan pay hundreds of dollars to see the Aces vs the Liberty?
