Last year, Indiana went 0-8 against the Liberty and Sun. This year they already have 6 of their 10 losses against them and have to play both of them only 1 more time. They are 3-4 against all of the other teams in the league. We'll see how they do against these other matchups in the coming weeks.

This right here........Indy is 0-9 vs Conn/NY/Sea/Vegas.....That's basically 4 of the top 5 teams in the league and all title contenders....However, they are 3-1 vs the other 3 teams they've played (Chi/LA/Wash).....Indy is going to get some wins, especially when Fagbenie makes her return.

I think the biggest thing is that you have to strike while the iron is hot. It's actually blazing at this point so having CC on the Olympic roster would boost things tremendously for the women 's game. Who's to say how things will turn out in the next four years. But what we all know right now is that women's basketball viewership is at an all time right now. Catlin Clark is big reason for that so why not take the opportunity to expand it on now,?

This is bad, bad logic. I think last night proved she is not ready for the physicality of the WNBA and thus not close to ready for the physicality of international play. She got benched in the 3rd quarter last night for awful defense and didn't return to the game.

Ultimately, if Caitlin, her fans, and the league want her WNBA career to last for a decade+ then she gotta use that Olympic break to start hitting the weight room.

I watch her game and can tell she's not a leader.

Clark does not look generational so far.

She never was. I think it was really telling when Kate's commenting about the leadership of Aja and the camaraderie the Aces. Idk if it was a dig at Caitlin and their time at Iowa, but you can tell she genuinely has an appreciation of being on a team without agendas.

Senior season, the captains were Kate and Gabby, not Caitlin. Those 2 covered a lot of her deficiencies while she focused on scoring. The commentary during last season had you thinking she was just a defensive specialist, that was her ceiling and that was gonna make a great coach one day. Fast forward a few weeks into her rookie season, she's surprising a lot of people. All thanks to Aja putting the battery in her back and giving her confidence in her game that she didn't receive in college.

That's leadership.

You don't think teams are more pumped to play Indy this year in packed arenas/on national tv and a way bigger spotlight than last year? :francis:

No one was even watching them last year, but fine since that can't be proven we can only look at the results.

They were pumped the same way last year when Aliyah Boston was the #1 pick and she dealt with the same thing. Besides, other teams being pumped has nothing to do with this team regressing in performance like they have this season AFTER drafting another top player.

Because it's not gonna be enough just to have her on the roster sitting on the bench like Shorty Doo-Wop. It's why Tim Tebow couldn't ever be viewed as a backup to his fanbase. It's why Kaepernick could never just be on a practice squad.

the fate of women's basketball doesn't hang in the balance in this tournament. After this shyt is over, she'll be back in the WNBA playing in front of these big ass crowds. And that will continue UNLESS Caitlin Clark turns out not to be as good as we thought, which already justifies why she shouldn't be on this team now. This is the only league where the most popular player isn't a top 15 player in the league. Not in the NBA, not in MLB, not in the NFL, not in MLS. Now, that will change by the time 2028 hits (though I predict what's happening to CC will start happening to JuJu.)

Nobody was pumped to play Aliyah Boston :mjlol:
She looks like she been out of shape and the lights too bright this year. Her and her teammates should be feasting with the Clark gravity of attention

Some of you keep harping on Indy's regression in performance without factoring in...

* Lack of practice/rest.
* Playing 4 of the top 5 teams 9 out of 13 games.
* 8 of 13 gms on road
* Two road game back to backs.
* 3 gms in 4 days twice

This season's first 11 gms in 20 days....Last season first 11 gms in 30 days......Mind you, the rest of the teams did not have the same tough schedule.....A tired indy team was playing well-rested teams.

Indy's next 5 games- Atl, Chi,Wash, Atl,Chi

Would not shock me if Indy wins 3 out of 5

Lets see how the season plays out

No one gives a fukk about Boston. :mjlol: They averaged only 4 thousand fans a game last year and none were on national tv.

And as I said, 0-6 against the 2 best teams and 3-4 against everyone else. It’s too early to say they have regressed cause they weren’t beating those teams last year.

So Clark isn't on the olympic team? Do these women like having nobody watch them and making peanuts? I dont get it....

You get gifted a player thats approaching Bron levels of popularity and could make the WNBA a worldwide thing, and you don't wanna push her to the forefront. It's like they want the league to fail....SMH
