The Clark commentary is already silly, especially after we just finished watching Wemby's rookie season.
It's going to take a little time for her to get acclimated to the WNBA, we can't judge her so early.

IMO the test is whether or not the casuals will have the patience to wait it out. Obviously not a problem for NBA since they aren't dependant on a rookie and would be fine if Wemby doesn't turn into a star.


Doesn't help that they've marketed her as if she's going to immediately be a top player.

I think the league did her dirty with the schedule... going against the #1 defense in the league in her debut was nasty work...then her home opener against the Liberty was crazy...that team has only had a few weeks to gel...these other teams been playing together for years on a high level...that Aces game next week is gonna be ugly... Kelsey Plum has this game circled on the calendar

yes. Teams matter. And that super team they have now along with the liberty's team, they will be the Lakers/Celtics of the 80s for the next few years with the Sun being the 76ers . I just wish Griner and Taurasi could both stay healthy, but that's asking a lot for Taurasi now being that she was drafted 20 years ago

I blame the HC for this.....Clark was getting mugged and Coach Sides did not get at the officials...One thing the best coaches have in common is that they always work the Refs when there is a bad call(.Reeve,Geno,Staley Mulkey, etc)......Coach Sides does nothing or the minimum at most.

Like I said in another thread, this won’t end well. Clark got free rein at Iowa because the program was trash. In her last 3 years, Iowa never recruited a top 5 or 10 player because nobody wanted to play with her.


If they go down this road, Indiana’s best players are going to leave and nobody is going to want to play there except role players.

Cam looked great in her debut.

Wasn’t doing too much, was on point with passing and even pivoted straight to defense by cutting off the help on a few of those assists.

Could’ve grabbed a few more boards, but Steph and whoever else she had coaching her up did good in getting her league ready
