I cannot reiterate this enough, but these dudes are the scumbags of scumbags. I don't think cops have ever been portrayed like this on TV. and I'm sure this is only the tip of the iceberg as this likely goes on in every major city.

I'm wondering why the cop lovers aint raising holy hell calling Simon anti-cop. Or are they?

Dude was a police reporter for 10+ years and is/was friends with several cops. Which is why "The Wire" was so realistic.

Nobody can really call him out because he knows his shyt. They can get offended but they can't say what he's writing isn't accurate.

I like how they showed that the police robberies had lasting, even deadly consequences in the community.
John Q. Cac-erson types like to say "So what if they robbed drug dealers. Drug dealers don't deserve that money."
First, they showed how robbing a drug dealers can cause more deaths and unnecessary violence.
Second, they showed that they stole from honest working people too and how missing that few hundred dollars could ruin their lives.

yea that's the thing about police corruption especially what the GTTF was doing that doesn't get brought up enough. Everyone knows the shytty things cops do but shows/movies never go into serious detail about the (un)intended consequences of their actions.

We see this in the Wire with McNulty talking with Bodie and we see it here too. Bodies dropping due to their robberies and how breh lost his car and home most likely due to their corruption smh.
