Besides the Watchmen movie I have no clue about their universe. Saw mad alerts from this thread, came in expecting some good lore,easter eggs just to find...

The pilot was grade A and I'll be here next week.

Hard to watch that first scene but powerful way to intro the show. I loved trying to figure out what everything meant and loved the call back with it raining squids.

Should def get your hands on the original graphic novel. Besides giving you more insights into the tv show, it’s just a dope read

this reminds me of westworld in the sense that I have a strong appreciation for the source material but I’ll have to sit back and just watch the season and let it come into it’s own...I’m in awe so far @ the first ep but still don’t know what to make of it overall as a result of the storytelling which is a great thing...I just have to sit back and enjoy the ride til the season is over

That was a great pilot.

Never read the graphic novel and it's been years since I've seen the movie.

But I think Regina and her husband having white kids ties into black people having more economic power and a higher social standing in the Watchmen world due to getting reparations. So them having white kids would be the equivalent of white people today adopting black kids. I'm interested in how the show handles the issue of race in a world where black people have more power. They already gave a glimpse of it with the white racist dude being pulled over. It's gonna take some GREAT writing for them to successfully pull it off but they're off to a great start.

Having Rorschach inspire a white supremacist group was a brilliant move.

I'm all in for this show. HBO has another one
