Tired of that man. All he does is bytch and moan about everything people do with shyt he claims as his own or is his own. While also forgetting his shyt isn’t creator owned; DC owns watchmen and can do whatever they want with it. If he’s got an issue take it up with them. Man is sitting on piles of money and all he does is bytch bytch bytch

Alan Moore really doesn't care. He gave all the money he had coming from Watchmen the movie to Dave Gibbons and probably is doing the same with whatever they will get from the TV show's adaptation.Alan Moore is spinning in his grave.
And his distaste for adaptations isn't because people are adapting his work...he just hates the idea of Hollywood adapting comic books period. He looks at it as the consumers being baby birds and Hollywood feeding us regurgitated worms and Moore thinks more energy should be spent on creating the new instead of mining the already existing. Plus he thinks the money being spent on those films is obscene and has turned the comic book industry into a storyboard factory for Hollywood.
One of his statements on the matter was along the lines that the movies didn't matter because the original comic book works remained untouched and people could go back to them any time they wanted regardless of how bad the movies based on them may have been.
I think the only adaptation of his that he truly hates personally is The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and that is solely because of the copyright lawsuit he was dragged into.

Watchmen’s rights were to revert back to moore after the books print run which is WHY he created new characters instead of reusing the classic charlton characters.
Moore wanted to create a one off CLASSIC story in Which the characters would prolly never be revisted; unless by him becaus again, after the books print run he would own the rights with his partner.
DC essentially tricked him because they NEVER took the book out of print and never will so they retain the rights and now are b*stardizing HIS characters. This isnt normal.. no graphic novel has stayed in print for 30 years continuously EXCEPT watchmen. Its popular. But not THAT popular.
And then he returned when dc bought the conpany he worked for, after being mad they swindled him and fukked with his books again because they didnt like the statemenys he was making in his writing.
Moore has every reason to not wanna work with DC or help them make money.
