It looks like dualing conspiracies.

I think the Millennium Clock does something "evil", and the 7k wants to do a terrorist attack on it because they realize that causing fear is a great way to get what you want.

C'mon brehs...outside of the final "monster" it was a frame for frame remake. We can praise one without tearing down the other. Watchmen is still one of the most faithful cbm adaptions.

i like to pile on Snyder (no homo) as much as the next guy (no homo), but the they just showed the squid dead and the ppl dead and the destruction, not HOW it happens. We're left to our imaginations, a big ole squid appeared out of nowhere and everybody died while a shock wave destroyed the buildings

Snyder seemed to think it was unfilmable, so he didn't even try.

In the book, which is obviously the source material - there's a whole storyline dedicated to why the squid exists, how it was created and its exact purpose.

Let's be real, the way snyder did was probably more to adrian's character, trick Manhattan into replicating his power, block his forethought so he cant see it comming, this unless his energy across the 4 corners of the world, then force dr.manttan to take the blame...

In which Manhattan has to or else the world with unlease nuclear attack against eachother causing the end of world....

What we've been shown of her personality is that she would try to do shyt on her own and die in the process. She wouldnt turn herself in because she's trying to protect her grandfather. Im guessing thats what he believes at least. Telling her what happened could also involve her and get her killed. They want Looking Glass for some reason. Thats the only reason why they didnt kill him. They dont want Sister Night. Not saying he made the right decision. I just think he did what he thought would protect here from 7K/Senator.
