the third one is about a group of scientists who get together to fake an alien invasion.... to stop nuclear war

these joints are from the 60s. Is this an old concept or did the OG artist pay homage somehow

Veidt was moved off the board cause exposing his scheme with the squid would send people against the government. Keene could have just released the tape if that was his goal.

Will or at least his body is being tested to make the change by Trieu(pills for his memory, the fact he's 105)
The 7K are trying to test teleportation and radiation exposure(the batteries thinink Manhattan's exposure over the years helped him survive)


The only thing I don't have a guess about is if someone has the tech to make a prison on two planes, why would they have trouble with making a Dr. Manhattan.

Both of to groups in this "arms race" (Trieu vs the Senator) also appear to be conspiracies planning some kind of interdimentional event in the near future. I guess the conflict between these two groups will stand in for the Cold War in the original story. With Sister Night, Looking Glass, and Silk Specter caught in the middle.

I'm still not 100% clear on the Senator's motivation. I agree that Lady Trieu is trying to replicate Dr Manhattan's powers, but the 7K faction seems to be trying to replicate the ability to attack via portals, which was Ozymandias' plan not Dr. Manhattan.

It could be the goal is just for the Senator to take over the US under permanent martial law, but that seem simplistic.

C'mon brehs...outside of the final "monster" it was a frame for frame remake. We can praise one without tearing down the other. Watchmen is still one of the most faithful cbm adaptions.

I think they knew she was going to have to take the pills. If Adrienne can welcome in president Redford 7 years before he was elected, it’s not outlandish to predict that someone put the squeeze on everyone and everything for them to behave a certain way.

Doubt it. "Grandpa" works with/for the Asian lady, and the senator pushed Looking Glass to go after Sister Night in order to get at him.

It looks like dualing conspiracies.

I think the Millennium Clock does something "evil", and the 7k wants to do a terrorist attack on it because they realize that causing fear is a great way to get what you want.
