Just when I thought I was going to be able to escape 2016 without losing another one of my GOATs 2017 gon start right where 2016 left off...

Swagnar getting killed by that fat fakkit Aeler...this can't be life...

This episode made me appreciate Eckbert gangster even more though...

He did not shy away or play with words when he told Ragnar he gave the order to slaughter his peoples and then unchained him...

I never really understood why they both gay for Athelstan but that scene with Alfred (Athelstan son) had me...

The question now is who son is Magnus...Look a lot like Eckbert to be honest and I feel his bytchass son Aethelwulf now knows it...

All I know is Aethelwulf gon get that work when young Ivar returns for vengeance...

That snake pit and the close up shots of them biting him

He went out on his own terms though, and didn't give Aeller any satisfaction by seeking absolution

Plus he put the battery in Ivar's back even more and set him on the path to a glorious revenge

It really was crazy seeing the flashbacks to a young Bjorn and young Ragnar from season 1 and seeing just how much he's changed.

Kill you best actor and lead, brehs. But I guess you can't alter history.

It is gonna be a completely different show now that Ragnar is gone (and his wife).

The sons aren't as charismatic as Travis Finnel. I don't know what to expect for the rest of the half-season. I might just drop the show. Hopefully they can still keep it good. We'll see.

Side note: Real Vikings, the actual historical account of Ragnar and his sons, spoiled Ragnar's death for me. The actually showed the snake scene in last week's episode.

I'll keep watching, but Ragnar was the best character on the show. Hopefully Rollo, Laegetha, and Bjorn can keep it afloat.

I know the history (thanks to the show Real Vikings). I just dunno if the actor is up to it.

We still got Legheta, Bjorn,and Rollo though. They're good actors.

We lost Spartacus in season 1 bruh...

New guy did his thing in the final season but the rest of the cast is what carried that show after Andy...

Regardless though, this show isn't called "Ragnar", its called Vikings so your comparison is poor...The Vikings didn't end with Ragnar like the Spartacus slave rebellion did when Spartacus fell...The real goonery in Viking history begins after Ragnar's death with his son Ivar...

I don't know about yall but I never watched this show because of "acting"...Season 4 has been weak because they turned this into another drama show...We used to get at least a 40 man skirmish every other episode...Season 4 been Ragnar running around depressed and Lagertha's feminism push...Even the battle to start the second half of the season was piss poor compared to those 40 man skirmishes we used to get...

Its time the show started focusing on why we watch it, for the battles and fukkery...According to history Ivar will bring far more of that than his father did...

I get the feeling that this is probably the last season with the original cast. I can see Rollo, Lagertha, and Floki being killed off too. Next season is probably going to be focused entirely on his sons. Almost like a soft reboot.

There is an illogical push for feminism on this show so I can't see Lagertha being killed off...

They must have a lot of white women watching this show because nothing with what they've done with Lagertha makes any sense or corresponds with history...She was never supposed to be anything more than Ragnar's first wife and ride or die shield maiden...
