why?

As stand alone venom movie with no connection to the mcu-spidey verse is stupid

Low key stannage and Marvel hate/trolling

If the roles was reversed or say something happened with Warner/DC where they lost some of the DC properties and say Paramont or Columbia bought Batman and Superman/Wonder Woman.

Cats wouldn’t share that same stance.

A standalone venom movie is not worth it, if it means he wont be able to interact with spiderman as a villain. And seemingly a step backwards for what their trying to accomplish

Disney, now that it owns the fox properties, has no choice but to make the Rated R movies anyway

3 good villains out of what,30?

Venom is a big enough character that it doesn’t matter. He’s had standalone comics forever that have nothing to do with spider man. And looking at the view counts on the venom trailer there’s a huge audience for this.

If the movie is good is all that matters. If Sony fukks it up then that’s on them but If this movie is good it’s going to make bank and that’s all they or any other studio cares about at the end of the day. The spider man animated film they’re making looks dope as well.

The only thing they’re trying to accomplish is making as much money as possible like any other studio.

Venom is arguably the most popular character second only to spider himself in that world.

Their track record of garbage villains is probably due to them being pretty uninteresting in the comics or they go with ones that nobody was very familiar with in the first place. They made zemo lame imo tho

I would also say that Vulture was pretty good for a low level villain. And sony has down decent with their spidey villians dating back to the sam raimi trilogy. Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Lizard. There have been bad ones but Their track record is pretty much .500 in total and 1.000 if you're just talking about the first movie in a trilogy.
