Roy my guy, but he's stubborn. I feel like this falls more on the players though. I don't know. I'm just tired of getting scored on by 3 point scoring teams. I'm tired of not having players who can consistently knock down the three. The big men we get are a dying breed. Kessler needs to be let free. I seen bruh play in high school and he has range. Let his shoot.

This team was a year away anyway. Tough loss but the best version of Kessler, Sharpe, and RJ wasn't expected to be this year. Caleb under performed but had enough glimpses to see that he can be a force in the ACC. This teams identity wasn't mean enough and that falls on Brooks shoulders. Preseason POY and Walton, Sharpe, and Bacot all outplayed him. If Sharpe comes back, it's gonna be a "name that score" type of season. If he leaves, and the Bacot/Kessler front court may not steamroll squads, but still confetti worthy. Roy did a helluva job composing this roster cause they're set up for multiple years of success.

With the new transfer rules and player empowerment movement across all sports Roy is gonna have to let go of this outdated system or this is gonna be the result. And we’ll continue to miss out on the elite wings.

The 2019 team should be the blueprint for how the offense runs from now on

System works fine. It only goes so far when your PG takes the most shots and turn in a historically bad shooting season.

I refuse to believe that the game has evolved past Roy. Fastest to 900 wins and has the last championship from any of the blue blood programs. These kids are just built different nowadays.

We’re just going to have to agree to disagree.

The game of basketball is moving further and further away from the basket, spacing is emphasized more than ever, and we’re running a two-big offense that prioritizes post touches.

Call it what you want but the perception is out there and it’s not totally false. Even Nick Saban eventually ran a spread offense :yeshrug:

where they cross-over and clap boards
The system is fine. Had a pg who had never ran pg before trying to run a team. Backup pg is more of a combo guard but lacks size and both are freshmen. A 3 man who isn't aggressive, has no outside shot, and average athleticism. Probably should have played Brooks less and Kessler more but he was looking soft at the beginning of the year. Sharpe probably going first rd and Bacot may test the waters :francis:

We'll get a few incoming transfers. Don't really care if Love leaves or stays, he's gotta learn to pick his spots. Just hope Walton doesn't leave.

Unc should hire Wes Miller UNCG coach and former UNC player to replace Roy. He's and up and coming star

I think Wes would be a great replacement. I don't want to force Roy to retire. But UNC should pressure him to adapt his coaching style. It's painfully archaic and it has been for quite a while.
