bet that woke Aldo up.

Aldo isn't as aggressive/wild as Barao is, he also has great striking defence and has a more polished striking game. Although Mendes is a very tough opponent, I just don't see Aldo losing anytime soon.

If Chad shows up in-shape like he did vs. Guida, I can see him beating Aldo in rounds 3, 4, or 5. He's been looking slower and slower in the championship rounds with every fight that passes by.

As long as Chad cuts a fast pace and keeps up the pressure, he can beat Jose.

Last performances have been BORING. by wake up, I mean have that killer instinct again, sense of urgency. Instead of relying on his other opponents fear.

It's going to be difficult because I see Aldo chopping down his legs (beating him down) till he has pretty much nothing left (in terms of aggressiveness/power/etc.) in the championship rounds.

Barao fights with a killer instinct and a sense of urgency, if anything, this fight forces Barao to fight more like Aldo. Why would Aldo need to change his style? He easily wins his fights and rarely gets hit (much less get hurt) in the process.

But he didn't this fight. He came out flat footed and got tagged from the moment the fight begun. When he got dropped he just panicked and became a counter striker

It did look like he was having trouble with Dillashaw's movement, speed and footwork (was a bit more tentative than usual), but overall, he looked like the same Barao to me.

Hominick and Edgar has shown a bit of a blueprint: Weather the early storm, pick the pocket with good boxing and head/foot movement, and drag Aldo into the late rounds, where he usually tends to gas. And with Chad's wrestling, he can certainly sap Aldo's energy throughout the whole fight, presuming he doesn't get caught with something and finished early, again.

Bang Ludwig will be gone from the camp by the Aldo fight. I wonder what impact that will have. No question they were improved under him.
