i dont see it :yeshrug:

cacs love him ... do a google search & see the amount of fukkery that comes up

that billboard list - wasnt revisionist history (all u need to do is read billboards articles & reviews if his work from back inna dayz - that would give u a better understanding) same goes with ur shot at me & otherz with *old east coast nikkaz
:mjlol:

i just dont buy it - why would todays hipster whom is antithetical to hardcore 90's hiphoper - have biggie, jay, nas, ghost on their list only to leave out pac because they dont relate

breh - makes sero sense

It wasn't a shot @ you, it is what it is.A lot of 35+ east coast cats look @ Pac like:rudy:

In regards to Big, Jay, and Nas----Hipsters love them. They're considered "technical wizards"...lyrical juggernauts. The Artsy Fartsy crowd loves Nas, especially.

Pac's music was more about deep inward feelings, than it was "intellectual".It was something you felt.More emotion, soulfoul. You have to understand the pathos of being a "n i g g e r" in this country to really understand Pac.To me, Pac was rapping negro spirituals. While inspirational and full of life, at the same time, laced with sadness & tradgedy. It's just black pain.No other rapper put it on display like Pac.

And that's something the world doesn't care to acknowledge.Especially the flimsy mind of a hipster. It might depress their colorful world. They wanna be pseudo/superficially "deep".

Some white folks connect with truth. They can appreciate a brilliant black man.

But the overall sphere of white consciousness really can't digest Pac.They have to appropriate him first. It's been happeninf for like the last 15 years

While I understand that one dude's concern. I just think there is too much money at stake to put a hit job on tupac. This movie could possible make or break a lot of careers...

Anyway BIG and Pac have tons of white fans. but lesbihonest the Hipster crowd does not like 2pac. I've seen and read dudes say pac music was too "pro black"

Also lets not act like 2pac wasn't one the most hated black celebs in the mid 90s. When he got popped middle america was on some good riddance type of shyt. :manny:

:ohhh:

I see a lot of what he's saying going on right here on The Coli.

I always said Pac wasn't the nicca who was supposed to rise to the top of the game.I don't think they're comfortable with him being hip hops bisggest & greatest icon.

That's what they do.They deconstruct/water down your image to fit something they're more comfortable with.

We'll have to wait & see.....Gonna be interesting

I think yall paranoid, not even paranoid, but I think yall missed the point where they already deconstructed/watered Pac down to fit something they was more comfortable with:francis:...They did that by constructing him into nothing more than a image for many, like Bob Marley,Ali or Che Guevera....Which allows them to ignore all the details behind the image that had them hating Pac while he was living....I think many demographics from casual white fans,to hipsters are very comfortable, and actually love that surface level rebel image that Pac stands for.

I do worry this movie might be just a piece based on that surface level of Pac,but the fact its based on that prison interview alone gives me some hope:banderas:

Definitley don't see it being a hit piece, but if its being created by people who only have that surface level love for the image,it might be a bigger problem....Don't know if we gon get the real.

If I was talking to someone and "good riddance" came up in regards to Tupac's death my fist would launch into their face in the form of a perfectly executed overhand hook, pivoting on the back foot as I turn my body into it

im puzzled by this so-called hipster hate
personally speaking, i never had a meaningful convo with one
i work with a few & live next to one but the most interaction has been 'sup' 'morning' 'laterz'
anywayz
i cant understand why would they ONLY single out pac outta ALL da other artists from da 90s (whom some were more wilder to more pro black)

i need receipts
