Dunno man. There will inevitably be another republican president, who will appoint as many Federalist approved judges as he can, assuming republicans also control the senate at the time. The process isn't going to just be a four year window, they're gonna advance that ball as far and long as they can. Obviously the good news is they only had four years out of the last (soon-to-be) twelve years to do this. Two Obama terms and one Biden term. Hopefully he gets another four years to further progress things but more than likely dems lose the senate next year regardless.
Gonna be real curious to see what happens if Biden wins, republicans take the senate, and Clarence Thomas dies in 2025. Do we continue on with the bullshyt of hijacking seats or will Biden get to choose? 2025 won't be an election year, so by McConnell's reasoning the president should get the pick But...you never know.
