Edward O' Callahagan was a senior Justice Department official, but he was political appointee, not career, and from what I remember closer to the zealot level of Trump supporters. He co wrote the memo.

All admins struggle with this but this clear example of why you don't want political appointees in senior level positions. Regardless of the complex legality of the Mueller report, the investigations, the special counsel, you don't want senior level officials calling the play for OVERLY political loyalty.

Gotcha. Merrick seemed pretty aware of the situation when I was listening to him at the press conference I felt like

If these documents are as serious as they're made out to be and they spent a year and half trying to recover them.... I'm sure a lot of people had to know

I think I read that article when I got an alert but I'll read though it again
