300 murders a year
Def enjoyed this

Def saw the set up from the jump

But kid killing ari Def threw me for a loop and had me :picard::whoo: at the screen and kept me into it from beginning to end. Also didn't see gene following them coming either so outside of his brother setting him up I was shocked by the other outcomes which is great even the ending sequence as I didn't think he would kill his brother. Great showing and Kevin hart carried his lead role great

Ending was the chef's kiss to a good mini series. I was ready to write it off as unrealistic when he popped the gangsters but then they threw in one more body and twist to carry it past the goalline

Kid did some petty shyt in this series in perspective
Dude legit refused to take any Ls or lose anything

I mean for a huge mega celebrity being extorted to some extent is expected I'm pretty sure most of them go through shyt like this on the DL but dude legit caused all his problems because he didn't want to let go of 6 million
Which gotta be like pocket change to kevin hart in real life

:what:

If anything, the only wrong move was not calling the ambulance when the girl “OD’ed”. You can’t have some random person extort you for $6M over a murder and expect that to be an open and closed transaction. This ain’t like his real life where it was extortion over an affair - you can eat that L getting out, but a murder?

Wesley was beyond next level scum baggery of a brother, especially since Kev seemed to give breh money if/when he needed it

Wasn't prepared to get into a whole series though. i think i'm good on this

Really?!?! They ended the first episode beautifully with Kev saying so bluntly that he decided he didn’t want to pay $6M and cutting immediately to Pac’s Hail Mary:lawd:

That got me hooked!

i enjoyed the episode. it's like a combination of the show entourage and empire.
thought it would make a good movie, but i'm not committed enough to premise to follow it for an entire series. as a movie it's a great departure from the usual Kevin Hart type of film and a return to dramatic urban dramas that made Wesley a star in the 90s. As a show it's 50 cent soap opera status. Which don't get me wrong. thats good entertainment. but not my cup of tea

I didn’t get soap opera vibes from this at all. It’s very much so a Dramedy or even a straight up Dark Comedy, but the comedy is def a major ingredient in this throughout.
