They pushed it as Bill and Eric kind of tag teaming on some "fukk Sookie" type shyt so any partnership was based on them being salty that she dropped them both. Couple that with them being around all these new, crazy vamps and it's a devil you know >>> the devil you don't know type deal you know?

My bad. I completely forgot about the whole season with the witch lady.
Anyways it was the end of season 3.
Bill and Eric bury Russell alive in cement, then Bill turns the tables on Eric and tries to kill him by doing the same thing. Eric escapes and tells Sookie that Bill was originally sent to Bon Temps to procure her for Sophie-Anne and that he purposely allowed the Rattrays to beat her nearly to death so that he would be able to feed her his blood.
Got that off wiki episode guide. Anyways season 4 is when Eric was smashing sookie off. So in here its saying how when Eric and bill killed that one vampire league broad. It was for sookie. So I guess they bonded cause they on the run together.
Nan Flanagan tells Eric and Bill that she has been fired as spokesperson of the AVL and wants to start a mutiny against the Authority. She also tells them she knows that Sookie is part fairy. Bill deals her the True Death and Eric kills her guards to protect Sookie's secret.

It can from when Eric was on reset mode from that spell and had feelings for Sookie. After he got out of the spell he had mixed emotions about everything and he became cool with Bill even more after Sookie dissed both of them.
