I agree that this episode was pretty disappointing, ESPECIALLY Stabler Da Gawd going out like that....but it sets up the rest of the season for some interesting events.
They really really REALLY need to find a way to keep us engaged with the Bill/Eric storyline...if it means cutting other characters than so be it. It's just ridiculous right now how little time they are getting. Along with Sookie, they are the main fukking stars of the show.
This is why I was mad that Luna lived, I get it that she's hot, but I have torrent for that...the show could have used a trimming of a (weak) character there, and we aren't going to get it.

It's just bad writing. Eric lets the cat out of the bag, and it should be a huge, character shifting moment and should change the way the audience views Bill Compton....but all that happens is Sookie gets mad and Bill kills Sofia...and that's it.
To be fair, I DO think that Bills character has changed a bit. It's been very subtle, but as an audience member, I definitely don't view Bill as noble or anything like that like I used to in the beginning. He's calculative.
Also, to be fair, Sookie disappears in fairy land for a year after this reveal (Well, for her, it's 15 minutes or something, but everyone else had a year to digest everything).
Why did they bother casting Chris Meloni for the role of Roman if he was going to be such a nonfactor? They coulld have just hired some character actor whose name nobody knows if this was gong to be the full extent of the character.
