Now Cav has won 35. He probably got another 1-2 wins left on the tour this year. When Cav catches momentum he pretty unstoppable.

You think he felt the pressure to get 35?

I still think age is a factor but I guess once you get past the record, you can relax and focus on taking sprint stages as they come.
I'd be surprised if he won more stages in this tour but maybe he can still do it.

This is my favourite Cav win. The 2012 champs elysees finish always gets talked about because of Wiggins in yellow leading him out and Cav going pretty much from the last corner. But this one few days early on stage 18.

Yeah he felt the pressure internally. Because Astana signed his friends nd ex teammates to help with the lead out. They even got his ex lead out rider Mark Renshaw who had been retired for 4 years to be Sports Director just for the sprints.

With Cav suffering from heat stroke on stage 1 and everyone wondering if he would make the time cut off probably helped him to focus. He was really calm being interviewed after stage 1.

Not fully recovered from the crash. The fact he is doing this well is plain amazing in itself.

I expect him to peak for week 3. That's when we got the 4 b2b climbing stages with over 15000m of ascending to do.

Next weekend will be make or break tho. With the 2 big mountains stages.
