.what part of the trailer made it look like trash...you slow or something?

What the hell about these trailers was even remotely good? :mjlol:

They don't even tell you that there's even an antagonistic threat or a big mission in the movie.

It's just appears to be Tom Cruise training a bunch of pilots and that's it. Why the hell would I just pay to see that in the summer :mjlol: .

Might have to risk this late night IMAX showing to see it again, because this film was fantastic.

They nailed the O.G. feeling of the last film with modern day stuff. Had a whole black man engineer and overseeing a hypersonic jet project. Bunch of black folks littered throughout that scene, too. If Cruise can do it, nobody else in Hollywood has an excuse.

NO agenda, not even any hints of it. The movie was fairly chaste in general. Maverick and Penny mixed it up and that shyt just transitioned without any issue. Everybody gets to enjoy this film.

Cinematography was great. That shot of Maverick in the jet at Mach 10 curling over the planet is the reason why I'm probably going back to see it in IMAX. Jet shots in general were all sick. Breaking the sound barrier in those snowy mountains is something I could look at all damn day.

Story was solid. So much shyt went down in the 36 years between the two films, and that made it easy to pick where we all left off (provided you watched the first film). Maverick shytting on them kids for free had the whole theater laughing. That man is a menace in the skies. I like they didn't shy away from the fact that it was his fukking movie, too. When he suited up and ran that course better than anybody else, some Rottentomatoes reviewer was probably rolling their eyes. fukk them clowns, that's what he was supposed to do. shyt wasn't Top Gun: The Next Generation, it was Top Gun: Maverick.

It's not often you get a film sequel that's better than the original. Rose tinted glasses lose this time. TGM > TG.
