We’re gonna applaud our gymnastics team for taking a deliberate L because they’re brave & bold, yet the media is getting ready to pull out the “national embarrassment” headlines and condemn USA men’s basketball if they lose another game.

The double standards to me are clear as day. Is it just because we don’t expect women athletes to handle pressure?

That’s like only having your starting five and lebron or KD decide to just not play. Now you got maybe one semi star, 3 position players playing undermanned against a 5 person roster. Breh, today was the final team competition. She quit the day of. They didn’t use their alternate, I’m not sure she was even dressed and warmed up. The team competition is done. In no way was this the plan. The plan was to mop the competition and get a gold three peat for the women’s team. They been the most hyped squad in gymnastics with Russia and China looking to back them down, she gave ROC the win

the news just said they DID use the alternate. The alternate was Jordan Chiles.
