Yup, I mean yeah i make jokes here and there but even "failing" at the olympics you're still like top ten in the world. The pressure is so immense and now with social media and all the negativity. And to cap it all they expect you to be clean cut and perfect.

Was just reading this article/conversation, can't say I don't agree with some of their points. Osaka losing, Biles leaving, and men's basketball team disappointing have definitely had a huge impact on these games and likely will for the remainder of them. Not to mention the major time difference cuz not a lot of y'all are able to stay up late and enjoy some of the events live. Hopefully it's easier next time around in Paris. Let's see what happens the rest of these games and if they continue to build stars and captivate the audience.

Time difference is an issue. The whole Simone Biles saga happened at 7am. i was up and i work a lot from home anyway but most people not and they were probably spoiled by all the drama and already seen the videos so why would they tune into NBC?

Same thing with U.S. vs. France. That was a lil better on the weekend but u could tell a lot of brehs wasn't watching because it took a couple hours for the coli to meltdown
