I'd actually book a Rey mini feud for the Rumble and the PPV before Mania.

Have Bryan avoid AJ like the plague and Rey step up as the next challenger. He's the perfect opponent to put DB's new character over and give us a bunch of MOTYCs

Then you book a 2/3 falls match at Mania for the rematch between DB and AJ
