Dude has a point. But I also think that one of the reasons why it's so hard is because the WWE has too many of the wrong kind of writers in the room. Raw is like a sitcom.

As a writer myself I'm gonna just say it: quite a few of the issues with RAW are craft issues. And your job as a writer is to recognize where things have broken down and figure out a way to course correct. He's right in that it's not easy but he's being a bit disingenuous in that he's acting as if they're writing a "regular" prime time series as opposed to live, episodic television. When you write for live tv you get A) immediate feedback from the audience so you know when jokes don't land or people aren't reacting the way they're *supposed* to and B) you have the ability to immediately act on that.

Discounting things that *are* beyond their control like booking, there's a lot about RAW from a craft standpoint that isn't working (ex. cringe worthy comedy, awkward live segments) and the folks in the writers room gotta hold that L, the same way they take the credit for the things that *are* working.
