I started reading the comics when they first came out back in 03.

And I'm not saying you're complaining about anything but don't act like T-Dog hasn't been consistently named as a negative aspect of the show. The show has it's flaws, if you like it cool, but people who've read the comic are generally going to favor that over the show. Even people who started with the show and switch to the comic are likely to see it that way.

Frankly I wouldn't recommend people who started with the show read the comics. It'll just ruin the show for you. Not in the sense that it'll spoil anything, more so in the sense that things are just done much better in the comics.

T-dawg being a weak ass character from the very start (in a cac'd up cast) has prob been the biggest detractor for me, and it probably would've been more glaring if i had known about the tyrese character from jump. There are a couple other things of course, like the moments of character stupidity, but its not bad enough to ruin the show and in general i do like how the characters are.. altered as they may be from the source material.

Original intention was to read the comic series up until the current point in the show, to soak up more back story if available... But after skimming up thru issue 12 or 13.. which is basically right when they leave the farm and stumble upon the prison. That's when I was like Nah, this shyt is too different and it'll just put me at odds with things if I continue this method further.

Ima give the game a try and will eventually read thru the comics at some point, depending on how long this series lasts, and it seems to be pretty popular

There's nothing that they've omitted from the show so far the couldn't be put on AMC. That's what so annoying about the shyt.

I expect one situation in particular to be toned down or left out completely, but it hasn't even gotten to that point yet. It's not an issue of time constraints either because it's a TV show and they've actually had filler episodes.

I still use Cdisplay (which is admittedly outdated), but a lot of people swear by Comicrack.


and I can't imagine anyone reading the comics and not thinking they fukked up her character on the show.

Literally everything people hate about her character isn't there in the comics.
