I give this ep an A. Pacing was great, dialog was superb, tons of action and alot more gore than I was excepting from a prime time show. Everything a season premiere should be about this ep was in every way and then some.

I didn't start to get cold, on the show, 'til the Sophia epic went on 3 episodes too long

I just checked and there's going to be an episode called "killer within" so I'm guessing they'll at least do the serial killer story. Whether or not they do the gay lovers story i can't say

The prison sabotage shows something shady is up . They had said the rick incident won't happen later because it's to difficult to pull off .

This was definitely one of the better episodes in the serious history.

Frank Darabont looking right now. Getting rid of him might have been the correct choice. Let's see if they can keep it up.

IMO it was the correct choice, just look at how many characters will be effected by his approaching death. Lori will lose a the only person that could help her with the birthing of her baby plus anyone else in need of medical attention.

Maggie and Beth will stress over losing both parents now and Beth just got over her suicide attempt from season 2 and now will have to go through it all over again no telling if she will relaspe back into her depression. Looking back, Herschel asking Beth to sing and commenting that he hasn't heard her sing since their mother died was clearly foreshadowing this.

Plus, Herschel's possible turn now looms over the group.
