I see yall aint ready to be honest. This shyt was 2 and Half pack of pure ASS. Like wtf was this shyt it was confusing as fukk just undid everything for no reason Neo washed as fukk this nikka a jedi now the weakest fight scenes i EVER seen smhh and with "Lana" steering this ship you already know what fukk is up. Shyt had no emotion no feeling just this bytch ass nikka Neo crying after trinity all movie. They neutered the god smh. If i never saw it again i wouldn't bat a eye

Just finished it. Just like the sequels I thought it had excellent ideas (the whole meta commentary at the beginning with Neo designing the Matrix games and then being forced to make a 4th one was pretty brilliant) and the new elements they added with programs interacting with the real world, the civil war between the machines, and some of the machines helping the humans were pretty dope. But the execution of the ideas was lacking. The pacing was off, a lot of "telling" rather than "showing" with people standing around explaining things rather than Neo discovering it for himself. And as has been said by others, the action scenes were pretty meh which is disappointing considering how innovative the action was in the original trilogy.

Plus that ending was just...bad. Like it was a cool idea for both Trinity and Neo to be "the One" and how their love empowers one another but the way they executed it was just bad. The tone was off and the ending was way too abrupt even though they tried to make it a triumphant moment

It's interesting that the reactions have been love it or hate it because I thought the movie was just...average. Like I said, some great ideas and themes, but subpar execution.

I still got rewatch revolution and suffer thru that crap. Then I will watch this movie.

I wanted to yo to the store and get some alcohol but my mom holding me up, gonna be a minute.

Didn’t read their review. I genuinely don’t read reviews until after I see a movie. Or sometimes not at all

I genuinely don’t understand people who swear by them. Or look at them as gospel. I don’t get it. Even when I write my own reviews I’m secretly laughing at the idea of it.

That wasn’t what I was expecting at all. I like it but I’m not sure how much I like it. Love the ideas and how they played with expectations and the obvious commentary on society and our obsession with nostalgia. I appreciate how different it is from what came before it but fits right in.

Lana said there won’t be a fifth one buuuut I have a feeling her WB overlords are going to disagree lol. But this is a good wrap up point even tho she clearly left an opening for more.

I gotta see it again or keep thinking about it but it’s the most interesting movie I’ve seen all year and in quite some time.

The more I think about it, the more I think this would've been better as a miniseries. Would've given it more time to develop and execute some of the ideas and worldbuilding. This felt like 5 to 6 episodes crammed into one 2 1/2 hour movie
