Marathon Day 2 all done. "Reloaded" still goes hard. It truly followed all the rules for an Epic Sequel bringing back all the major characters Neo, Morphues, Trinity, Oracle and Smith. While adding some new ones. Also upping the ante on effects and action. Honestly only "Bad Boys II" had a highway scene as hard as "Reloaded" and still think this was better especially Trinity going against traffic. Morpheus fighting on the Truck. The martial arts was much better in this one. You can tell they learned a lot from the first film. Neo, Morpheus and Trinity fighting all looked even smoother and stronger in this one. Shout out to the Legendary Woo Ping. It did expand the mythology by adding the Architect and other new characters like the Merovengian and Twins. Hugo Weaving went in again, loved how Smith started to take over of the system. He literally was a virus like he tried to say Humans were in the first film. Jada's Niobi is introduced in this story as well as Zion (Cornell West was on the Zion Council as well) In the first film, Tank's character gave us a description of Zion but in this film you actually see it which was cool. Yeah, yeah the Rave Scene, lol but why can't they have a good time.
Sadly Marcus Chong wasn't brought back. The story focused on Tank and Dozer's Sister Zee who was supposed to be played Aaliyah but was replaced by Marvin Gaye's daughter Nona after she passed. Link is the new operator and Tank is said to have died from his injuries since the time of the first film. Once again Matrix is probably the most diverse Science fiction Blockbusters of all time. You aren't going to see this many Black People in Sci-Fi normally but there was also Asians and other races as well represented. It ended in a cliffhanger but it's the middle chapter. Overall it was a strong sequel that didn't answer everything from the first movie but let you know the Matrix was much deeper than before. "Matrix Reloaded Revisited" was cool. The Budget was much bigger for this film. They definitely were much more comfortable making this one than the last. The effects were even more expansive. Seeing how they shot the Burley Brawl with all the Smiths was ill. Also they had all the cut scenes from "Enter The Matrix" video game that tied into the movie. It was also cool they showed Aaliyah's scene's. She actually finished "Reloaded" before she passed but didn't get to "Revolutions" yet which is why she was replaced sadly. Her character had more scenes to film. It was a strong sequel and there's been some revisionist history on it. Sure people didn't feel it was better than part 1 but was far from weak. It got good reviews at the time and even broke box office records. It was the highest grossing R-rated Film of All Time for over 14 years.
