Why are people talking Laurence's age and Weight? Let's get the facts straight, Laurence has had more success and work in the last 20 years than both Keanu and Carrie. He's been in several blockbusters including DC, Marvel and Wick Franchise and hits on TV and Cable. I don't care if his weight is big now, he's a 60 year old man. I also don't care that he died in a video game most people didn't even play (Enter The Matrix and Path of Neo got way more spins than Matrix online did). LOL @ "The game is canon". So is the movies. The name of the damn movie is "Resurrections". Stop with the excuse of a video game. Neo and Trinity DIED IN THE MOVIES. I still stand by that Yahya is either Morpheus's Son with Niobi (She sent him in the Matrix to find Neo, he grew up listening to all the stories of his Father, Neo and Trinity so he goes to get him would be a nice story). Or he's a younger version of Morpheus in the Matrix. There's also rumors he's an "Avatar" for Morpheus's who would be elderly in the real world if there's a time skip. So we will see. But stop the excuses, Laurence could of easily been written into the story and maybe he still is we will see. But with a movie called "Resurrections" stop talking about characters being dead, lol. Also Laurence just did all those Super Bowl Commercials as the character 5 years ago. Here's Him and Neo just 4 years ago. He's looks just fine.

Even if that character is his son I think they should have still added him back in too.

My guess is whatever the villain is this time made the machine want to bring back the trio who “beat the system” vs risk it with a completely new set of variables(humans).

Neo even in the online game is never confirmed dead. The movie implied it but never outright said it.

They definitely got some explaining to do. But everyone died except for Morpheus (Lawrence Fishburne) so I don't know how they gonna explain this one.

No one is "making excuses" you think anyone in this thread actually wants Laurence to NOT be in the movie? All we're saying is there can be explanations within the story as to why he either isn't in there or doesn't appear the same. And we still don't know 100% that he isnt in the movie at all because we haven't seen it. If it's meant to be a surprise they could easily be keeping it under wraps and Laurence is playing coy saying he isn't in it.

It’s technically canon via the sisters Trinity may be real, she would serve a purpose of keeping Keanu docile within the matrix if the architect or machines are trying to keep him from figuring everything out. I’m just saying there are plenty of story explanations as to why Laurence might not be in it, and he very well may have a cameo and we just don’t know. look Laurence is great but he’s out of shape, he wouldn’t be the same type of Morpheus anyway. Keanu is barely younger but he’s in great shape and is still believable when he’s kicking ass

If his character not in the movie, fine. i'll still watch.

If he was recast, pass. Hate recasting, movies are fiction, use some creativity if you can't bring a character back.

No one is "making excuses" you think anyone in this thread actually wants Laurence to NOT be in the movie? All we're saying is there can be explanations within the story as to why he either isn't in there or doesn't appear the same. And we still don't know 100% that he isnt in the movie at all because we haven't seen it. That's gotta be a Morpheus but not the original one.
In the blue pill trailer you can see what appears to be the machines constructing that Morpheus in the real world

Also we do see Neo's body in the trailer. It's in the state it was in after Revolutions being tended to by machines.

Look at the green Matrix code running down Trinity's face here. Don't know if that has any significance. Is she actually real anymore?

Lastly whenever Neo sees his reflection he looks like an older Agent Smith.

So I think it's safe to say that's the same Neo from the Matrix trilogy but possibly not the same Trinity and definitely not the same Morpheus. I have my doubts if that Morpheus is actually even a human. That Morpheus and Trinity could be tools the machines use to control Neo.

The thing that gives me pause about Trinity is it looks like we might see her body at 2:10 into the main trailer. It kinda looks like her but it's a close shaven person so I can't say 100%.
