The movie wasn't worth watching. It was worse than the Matrix Revolutions by a lot and it's so forgettable when I think of the Matrix series this wouldn't appear in my thoughts unless someone reminded me it existed.just started from where I left off…just realized I still got 90 minutes left
thats one of the worst parts of the movieWas the point of this movie to shyt on the original? Felt like they were making fun of their own movie
And I like the Agent Smith actor from Mindhunter but he was horrible in this. What a waste of time this was.

I never saw this movie, but part of me wants to since it's apparently a meta commentary by the Wachowski's about how they didn't want to make a fourth Matrix movie.
Having had some distance in between my first watch of the movie and now, I'm comfortable with saying that this was basically a "Here, motherfukker, damn," movie.
Supposedly, Warner Brothers was dead set on making another Matrix movie, whether they had the Wachowskis on board or not.
Eventually, the director basically said if someone was going to fukk the series up with a new movie, it might as well be them, and then proceeded to write and direct this shyt while they were processing their parents passing away.
So as a result, the movie itself is really two and a half hours of Lana Wachowski dealing with some real shyt, and taking it out on Warner Brothers, the entertainment industry as a whole, and fandom as a concept on screen.
I don't like dabbling in these types of arguments, but dead ass, if this movie was made by anyone else, it would get absolutely shredded for this being an absurd act of self-indulgence for asking a studio and an audience to pay for a public airing of grievances and therapy.
Maybe I'm just someone who enjoys promoting this type of fukkery, but I thoroughly encourage everyone to see this movie, ESPECIALLY if they go in knowing that it's not good, and that it is one hundred percent a movie about not wanting to make another Matrix movie.
