Rewatching the original trilogy and they are so much fun (Revolutions was eeeh tbh), Reloaded is my favorite, it had the best fights and I had a blast watching it in theaters with my friends back in my teens years so nostalgia plays a factor too.

Neo walks into a building looking for the Oracle and finds a buff asian dude.
"I'm looking for the oracle"
"I will take you to her but first..I apologize"
"For what"
"For this kung fu nikka!"
Cue an awesome 2 minute karate fight :blessed:

I've been sitting around thinking of when to finally take the plunge on watching this. Can't lie. All this talk in here isn't making me hurry up to watch it.
:patrice:
If it helps I think I should’ve rewatched the last 2 before watching this one. I was lost on why they were doing a lot of the stuff they did or what happened before.

some of the action scenes felt off, idk how to explain it. They looked weird and slow motion kinda.

I didn’t know about the director not wanting to make the movie in the first place so now it makes sense.

This film felt like a fan fiction extended epilogue of Matrix Revolution to give fans Neo and Trinity a happy ending.

Even the real world humans was like "Yeah... We got our peace. Ain't shyt for us up there and we happy with rogue AI coming to join us and build a new technology advance cave city. "

And that’s something to build on. It was humans who initially treated the machines like shyt. And it was humans who had the genius idea of blocking out the sun. Unless they had a way to reverse it, which I don’t think they did, the machines essentially preserved the human species. So I think it’s logical that some would say, enough is enough, we need to end this shyt. While the rest of the machines is like the coli, and pretty much said fukk those cacs. We’re never trusting them because we know what they’re really like.

Yeah... If they could turn the Matrix from Humans vs. Machines in a simulation to Human & AI Trying to Save the Real Planet that could be something fresh.

I think the inherent problem is for the Matrix franchise to go forward. They would have to essentially stop having the Matrix simulation be a focal point of the films. Otherwise... You kind of stuck in the Terminator loop of just rehashing Judgement Day(The Matrix in this case).

There is really no way to bring back the Matrix in a fresh way that doesn't involve a complete reboot.

Did they ever say why they didn’t get Lawrence Fishburne back?

It was how they wrote the script, Niobe was close to a 100 with that 60 year time skip that was put in, so Morpheus would have been long dead, along with Link, Locke, Roland, Ghost, all of them.

But LF said he wasn't invited back to the sequel and no one told him why.

Yet they sought to replace him with a fruity/metro version of Morpheus.
