Despite all the conversation - I personally don't think it's a Western. I think it's a samurai story. The Mandalorian saying weapons are part of his religion definitely struck me as samurai code rather than some cowboy shyt. I get that there are parallels between the genres (Seven Samurai/ Magnificent Seven) though.

The other day I called it the Star Wars version of 'Lone Wolf & Cub' and they had a bunch of beats from that in Episode 2. They have some of the same type of characters too. Even the relatively sparse script reminds me of some 'Shogun Assassin' shyt. The Jedi are basically space samurai themselves.

I'm absolutely here for someone sampling the dialogue and making a space themed Liquid Swords. 'Light Sabres'

This could just be one arc - but if the show ends up having that father/child relationship at it's core for the duration.

I don't mind these episodes being 30 minutes. A lot of the streaming OG'S should have shorter runtime in general, there's no reason for something like GLOW to be having 42 minute episodes
