Simple. When you let the storytellers do the actual damn storytelling, things work. When you try to shoehorn quotas and tropes into an already-conceptualized story, they don't.

If there's not enough variety of faces in your stories...get better storytellers.

I don't follow Star Wars like the mythology of it but I like it.

this first episode was fantastic. I love Pedro Pascal's portrayal of the Mandolorian. It's like a mixture of Judge Dredd, Clint Eastwood and Raylan from Justified. Excited to see where the series goes with this, the end though interesting...

Then they went on to say they didn't like Ludwig's score, one chick clearly never saw black panther and used the phrase "tribal pipes". (She did say the " squid money" look like condomns, which means she about that action, ) One dude did know Ludwig did Creed but that didn't mean anything to him.

Oh yeah, they never mentioned Carl weathers, it was like he was the old black man handing out condoms at the free clinic
