Watch this last night.......AMAZING.

I was reluctant based on the fact this was a Netflix movie and the trailer showed "stylized" action scenes which I'm not normally a fan of but I'm so glad I did watch it.

The casting was amazing and I think Idris Elba, Regina King, Delroy Lindo and Lakeith Stanfield murdered their roles specifically.

Amazing production quality, brilliant story and a great soundtrack too. I would really have to nitpick to find fault with this film.

That twist at the end :ohhh:

It's time to take your revenge Nathaniel Buck!:wow:

My biggest gripe though was with the ending. I don't think this needs a sequel but seems like they may be leaving the door open for one.

9/10 for me :ohlawd:

Starting to see some stupid ass cacs on YouTube trolling with stupid ass comments.

They get mad uncomfortable when they see black exceptionalism portrayed in a light that they believe is only supposed to be for them. They come with the bullshyt revisionist history talking points as though black cowboys weren't a very real thing.

The jealousy and obsession is real.

I was talking with an OG that used to do repair work for us at the crib. So the convo turned to some black history shiit. So he was telling me that the ORIGINAL Cowboys were black.

Cowboys weren't always called cowboys, they were called cowpokes, buckaroos, ect. Back in those days, it was an insult to refer to a grown man as a boy, so they called the blackmen who did that shiit cowBOYS as a way of demeaning them. But the black men were doing fly tricks with the lassos, riding the horses in unique ways to the point that those black buckaroos (aka cowBOYS) built a reputation of having skill. So when people referred to cowBOYS it was in reverence to their skill. Eventually white people started to take on the name cowBOY so they can get the benefit of the reputation that the black men built.

Good flick. :ehh:
The end kinda threw me for a loop.
Everyone did their thing (except Zaza beats but I dont think she's that great) Regina accent threw me off a couple times. What accent was she trying to do? An islander?
Liked the music at some points other points it felt outta place but all of the time it was too damn loud :damn:

Wish they woulda built the town up more and made it look not so brand new and fresh. Looked like a play set. Shoulda at least threw some dirt on the signs.

I thought Regina was doing a Louisiana (not quite New Orleans) accent. You could really hear it when she was talking about her sister Hope.
