Stan or no Stan nothing he said is a lie. Nolan is the only director doing big original IPs and on top of that, with giant sent pieces and practical effects. The trailer of this movie shows a real jumbo set crash I mean. If you're into event films Nolan and Tom Cruise are the only people delivering like this.
Exactly. And stans alone don't get dunkirk to 500 mil with no big names. Let alone his other original movies last decade.

I associate him with Batman which isn’t original IP. After looking at Wiki I see he did Dunkirk which was of no interest to me yet I know it was highly regarded (or at least did numbers) so maybe y’all hyped on that.

the preview I saw for this movie did nothing for me, but this shyt might not be for me in general

edit: guess this shyt will be 60 pages before y’all even see opening credits :mjlol:

"We are not treating Tenet like a traditional global day-and-date release, and our upcoming marketing and distribution plans will reflect that."

I mean I guess I don't know what you're looking for to be hype for a new movie. Do you need to have a known IP or know plot/premise before seeing a movie. Are there any directors or writers who's material you're always going to give a chance based on your feelings on their previous work?

You being surprised that people are excited to see the work of one of the biggest box office directors (perhaps the biggest of the last two decades) just seems out of touch :yeshrug:

Not that you need to be hype too, but how are you surprised that there are people who are excited to see a movie by a guy that makes very successful movies. Like who do you think are watching these?

i don't keep up with directors, like i said, nolan = batman in my mind, and batman is bigger than the director and not new IP. so for the third time, yes i was confused about the hype over a movie whose trailer gave me no clue wtf the movie was about, but it's clear it's a nolan thing for yall...got it

Got you. You should. If you follow the filmography of the people responsible for the content you like (directors, writers, even the cinematographers) you'll probably find a bunch of other shyt you like that you might be missing
