Didn't somethig similar happen last time ? Like Rebels were fighting Assad in Aleppo and Isis filled the void at some point ?
The rebels held part of Aleppo city, Assad held the other and the Kurds had their Sheikh Maqsoud district

ISIS was marching to Aleppo. This was in like 2015 before the Russians got engaged.

Right now, ISIS is just in small pockets out east.

The Syrian army’s first defense line is Hama.

But it looks like they’re in disarray and may be retreating positions

It’s clear to me that conflict has become impossible to predict and 99 percent of analysts have no idea what’s going on. Not a single person would’ve predicted rebels making gains they never made, over the course of the entire war, in a few days.

At this rate it isn’t far fetched to imagine they’ll capture Damascus. It’s only a few hours from Hama and it doesn’t seem like there’s any coordinated défense whatsoever.
