I thought the Syrians were the first to report this.
My point is, how do we know it was Assad who did it? Assad had everything to lose by using chemical weapons. Why would he provoke the US when he is winning the war and Trump just announced plans for the US to leave?
Not only that, but he announced plans to cut off funding for the war in Syria. Sounds to me like the rebels had more of an incentive to use chemical weapons.
Why is that? What did the rebels gain here? What did Assad lose here? What did he gain?
There's room to doubt. But you can't doubt indefinitely. At some point you have to make a conclusion. And the number one lacking conclusion for the anyone but the Assad regime carrying this out lacks more proof than the accepted alternative.
I mean, they're just calling the attack itself fake news.

The rebels have everything to gain. The US doesn’t pull out and they keep getting financial and military support from US.
It’s not suspicious to you that the Neocons called for regime change in Iraq, Libya Syria, Iran and North Korea way back before W became president. We got rid of Saddam and Gahdaffi and now are in the process of getting rid of Assad.
Just that fact alone should make us seriously question any pentagon reports regarding Syria.

I don't think the Russians would do anything even if US missiles hit them. Remember Turkey shot down down one their warplanes and Russians didn't retaliate militarily.
