Does it get better as the series progresses? Looks like it has 80 seasons or something
Season 1 is mostly "Monster of the week" Until the last 3 episodes. That's when the "real story" starts.
It only gets better from there.

The dinner scene in this episode was amazing. Really hit home that Sam and Dean never grew up with a Mom or even Sister for that matter. They have no idea how to deal with conversations like that
