You have to remember the last time we saw him as himself Lucifer had tricked him into letting him out of the cage. He's probably like pissed and trying to make up for that mistake.

Nah he wasn't tricked he willingly gave up his body because he put faith in the devil of all beings to save the day. Definitely frustration and guilt as he's now the most powerful being besides Chuck and Amara.

He did that because the devil lied to him which is why I said he was tricked. Lucifer told him he was strong enoug to beat Amara knowing that was bullshyt.
