Let’s not pretend his forced face push of 2015-19 was good. It has its own Wikipedia page detailing all the ways it hurt the show and 3 straight wrestlemanias ended with the crowd shytting all over the main event. Whether it was his fault or not doesn’t matter. That’s bad booking. He’s been great since his 2020 return with them finally giving him something interesting to do and an actual character but this shyt has gone on way longer than anyone could stretch it and keep it interesting. It’s run its course. Rock or Austin couldn’t keep a 3 year run as champ with a weekly show and monthly pay per view events interesting. You gotta shake it up at some point even if it’s just to break the monotony :manny:
Nonsense. Roman has them in the palm of his hand. The title has not felt this important since the 80s. Monday night wars spoiled us and conditioned us to expect a title change every 2-3 months. That pop when someone finally pins or taps Roman for the belt will be top 5 of all time. This ain’t no HHH reign of terror type shyt

whats interesting is how in the press conference Heyman said they only in the third inning with this whole bloodline thing. who knows where they'll go next. i do wonder with Kevin Owens likely being hurt, if they'll involve Sami again to some extent. On some I told you so shyt to Jey, or if they'll dead all that & Sami would forget about Jey completely after Jey sided with the bloodline over him. Or could there be other wrestlers that fill into the storyline on some tagging with Jey against the bloodline type shyt? doubt they can just run Jey vs each member of the bloodline every time. the next ppv is payback so I can see Jey wanting to get that on Jimmy. Not sure that be as marquee a matchup as like a mania or other major ppv but we shall see what they do. and what could happen with solo, or is jimmy even back with the bloodline. might end up being a fatal fourway being built up for survivor series.
He said that same shyt after WrestleMania

Were you saying the same thing when Brock had the belt over a year and was barely showing up?

I was only tuning in for the Rumble, mania, and Brock matches at the time. So yes. And did not start following full time again until the bloodline storyline:yeshrug:

Roman is going to surpass Hoegan’s title reign. We need a free daps + rep post when that happens. :blessed:
Only way that’s happening is if Rome retain at Mania, and possibly next SummerSlam too

They ran out of ideas years ago. That’s why Roman became a part timer and spent a ton of 2021 and 2022 either not wrestling or facing part timers. All the more reason he needed to drop the belt to Cody in April.
:dwillhuh:

Rome defended the title damn near every PPV until Mania this year and had matches on SD too. Didn’t become part time till he beat Cody.
Lowkey I wouldn't mind Sami and KO reentering the Bloodline storyline

Jey, Sami and KO vs Jimmy, Solo and Roman
Pretty sure I said this was gone happen a few days ago :ehh:

That’s one thing that can get this over, the crowd likes Jey and Sami together :ehh:

Nobody said every few months, but I can’t be bothered to tune in for 3 years straight without a payoff. Kenny & Moxley each holding the belt for about a year was fine. Even Jimmy & Jey being tag champs for about 18 months was ok. New day was great when they were champs for something like 15 months. They’ve had to pad this out with too much filler and had 3 perfect opportunities to put the belt on someone new in the past year in order to really make someone a star and didn’t pull the trigger on any of them because they’re still holding out in hopes of getting Roman vs the rock when that’s the last match that needs a title at stake. In fact I’d argue the title being on the line in that match could hurt it.

I’m pretty sure his only non pay per view matches since wrestlemania 38 have been the riddle title defense and the tag match him and Sami lost to Cena & KO. I’m fine with him not wrestling on free tv all that often (I’m fact it shouldn’t happen often with established stars because that’s how you get stuff like Rollins and Ambrose/Moxley getting hurt in house show matches), but this was only his 3rd match in the past 4 months and his first defense of the belt in 4 months. That’s way too long. I think Owens is hurt for real though so that’s not really an option.

Next PPV Jey will betray himself and the Bloodline will be full again
This reminded me of when Damien Mizdow eliminated himself from the battle Royal after Miz got eliminated. Ayo that was one of the most hilarious things I ever seen :bryan:

Mizdow should have been given more of a chance :snoop:
Sheeeeet Horseman beat up Wyndham too before he joined, don't act brand new
Horsemen used to beat people asses then recruit them just to turn on them then beat they asses again :bryan:

Sting and Dusty(RIP) :sas2:

Man’s been getting booked like 80s Hulk Hogan but yet he still can’t beat people clean :unimpressed:

Over this bloodline shyt.
Yea it’s customary for heels to cheat often but they really making him look weak. From Brock at SummerSlam last year to now, just about every challenger he had for the title would have won if it weren’t for outside interference :mjtf:

Yea but in 2021 and most if not all of 2022 Rome stayed defending the title. If he not dropping it anyway, there really isn’t a point in building someone up just to be fed to Rome. They did that with Cesaro, Finn, Edge, D Bry and to some extent Sami KO Jey and others. You can even throw Brock in that list.

Now that there’s a new world champ it don’t even make sense for Rome to defend the title every PLE especially if we already know the outcome.
