Let’s not pretend his forced face push of 2015-19 was good. It has its own Wikipedia page detailing all the ways it hurt the show and 3 straight wrestlemanias ended with the crowd shytting all over the main event. Whether it was his fault or not doesn’t matter. That’s bad booking. He’s been great since his 2020 return with them finally giving him something interesting to do and an actual character but this shyt has gone on way longer than anyone could stretch it and keep it interesting. It’s run its course. Rock or Austin couldn’t keep a 3 year run as champ with a weekly show and monthly pay per view events interesting. You gotta shake it up at some point even if it’s just to break the monotony

When was the last time they had pre-show matches? I can't remember when they decided to stop doing them. I rather pre-show matches than to hear Booker scream "SHUCKY DUCKY!' for an hour

It was shortly after HHH took the reigns, Clash at the Castle I think. Only NXT has had a few Kick-Off matches since.
