When was the last time they had pre-show matches? I can't remember when they decided to stop doing them. I rather pre-show matches than to hear Booker scream "SHUCKY DUCKY!' for an hour

None of them ever held the belt for 3 years on end and none of them ever routinely took 3-4 months in between title defenses. You can’t do that sort of thing with a weekly tv show. Also aside from jbl and hogan, those guys did have title matches they won as the bad guy while cheating but not with nonstop run ins. You can’t do it every single time or it ends up making everyone look bad. On top of this, Randy had a ton of shytty runs with the belts. JBL was one of the worst champs ever. Triple h had plenty of bad runs as champ too. I think Jericho’s run as AEW champ was his only reign I can recall lasting more than 3-4 months. Hard to get stale when you aren’t champ for long.
