I agree that he flipped the dynamic, at least by the end, but he really wanted that true love feeling returned from Shiv. He was chasing that feeling most of the series until he gave up. He has the power, but he wanted the power and the love.

Nah it's the way they going about it.........these nikkas painting shyt like everything was gonna be roses with Kendall in charge, like he was the right answer.
Mattson has no reason to fukk over Tom in this situation. He is the perfect puppet. Besides if Mattson did try to fukk Tom over, Shiv will just bring up the Ebba stuff. Discrediting everything Logan did and making Kendal some saviour. Like Logan wasnt in the middle of a deal to get his kids billions, that his kids were trying to sabotage.

A lot of Kendall's moves were failures. Hell even saying no to Mattson wasnt some ploy to get more money. He wanted to actually kill the deal. Price only got upped as a "fukk you" from Mattson.

What a series. Initial thought was how much I loved the irony of the title of the show and the fact that none of the children ended up the Successor.

I especially liked that despite all of Ken's shortcomings and inability to really lead, he would have several moments where he showed out and you're like - but the final meltdown reminded you why it couldn't be him (amongst many other reasons.)

I joked with my Wife about Tom coming out on top, didn't think it would actually happen. I kinda thought Connor would backdoor sweep his siblings somehow

The old guard all did well sans Hugo, along with Roman/Tom and I guess Greg (depending on what salary Tom gives him ) - and the kids too as they are all dumb rich now.

Any arguments against this being top 3 ATG with the wire and sopranos?

They landed the ending. I was jittery as fukk the whole episode from the point Maddsen was looking at Shiv sideways in his penthouse.

The wire is more relatable for me, but the last couple of seasons were rushed. And the politics/mcnulty/newspaper storylines got weak.

Friday Night Lights & Breaking Bad better to me. Maybe some others i'm forgetting but those two for me for sure along with The Wire and Sopranos.


I'd put The Shield over it too.
